Theatre is back at Verdugo Woodlands!
Since 2012, Spotlights has been conducting after-school theatre in the Dads' Club, and we're excited to be returning for Fall 2025.
Spotlights is a program offered exclusively to Verdugo Woodlands Elementary students, where the kids will spend ten weeks rehearsing, practicing, and preparing for an originally-written play, based upon the works of William Shakespeare.
Using the characters and themes from Shakespeare's works, students will get an entry level taste of the crazy and sensational tales written over 400 years ago... but updated for the youth of today!
Our originally-written show will give every actor the opportunity to shine on stage, with absolutely NO ONE assigned to play a meaningless "Forest Tree #4" type of role.
Join us for another exciting round of silly theatre, and let's get these VW kids on stage!

Fall 2025
Established in 1901, the once luxurious Hotel Shakespeare has seen better days. At one time a haven for movies stars and royalty alike, the hotel has long since lost her luster, and is on the verge of shutting her doors for good. But tonight finds the hotel busting at the seams, as one bellhop is left alone to somehow manage a surprise surge of guests. Running from room to room, can the bellhop meet all the needs of these peculiar guests, or will the whole building collapse from all the night's craziness? Call the front desk and book your stay now, because this might be the final curtain call for the Hotel Shakespeare!

● Final Performance is TUESDAY, November 18th at 6:45pm
● All Classes and Final Performance
are held at the Dads Club
*Please note these important additions and changes to our schedule:
● Tuesday, November 11th - No Rehearsal (due to No School)
● Wednesday, November 12th - Added Rehearsal
● Sunday, November 16th - Costume Day (10-15 minutes)
● Monday, November 17th - Final Dress Rehearsal, right after school

REGULAR Registration: $265

LATE Registration: $315
(After September 15th)
● Payment Plans are not available.
● No refunds after the 2nd class (September 23rd).
● Our TWO Release Forms are REQUIRED in order to participate, no exceptions.
● All registrations are subject to a Non-Refundable $35 fee.
