Shakespeare... Act One style!

Shattered Shakespeare.jpg

Fall 2021: "Shattered Shakespeare", Sept 14th - Nov 2nd

Late into the evening, a single candle burns in a small room, as our fabled storyteller, William Shakespeare, struggles to overcome a serious case of Writer's Block.  What must go through his head at this moment?  What is happening in that masterful mind of his?  ...CHAOS!  That's what!  Utter chaos!  It's complete mayhem as one Idea after another thrashes around in a typhoon of madness.  Tragedies are kick boxing Comedies, as Sonnets are body slamming Histories.  Each Idea is battling for dominance, determined to become the next GOOD Idea!  Which Idea will emerge as the victor?  Will anyone be able to take control of this Bedlam of the Bard, or will this night forever ruin our writer?  Someone needs to step up quick, and help rescue this Shattered Shakespeare!

Shakespeare?  ...Really?

Yes!  Well... sort of.

So often, young actors become too intimidated by Shakespeare's fancy words that they miss out on all of the amazing stories that he has to tell.

How tragic!  Let's change that.

We figure that these actors will have plenty of opportunities to experience his wonderful play on words later on in their lives, so why not focus on his fantastic stories and characters?!

Pirates, magic, duels, wizards, kings & queens, twins separated at birth, fairies, sword fights, ghosts, and even bears chasing people off stage!  Let's learn about (and play around with) these wonderful stories, by making them accessible to all ages!

Still not sure how it will work?  Take a look at last year's Fall movie, "Hotel Shakespeare".

Hotel Shakespeare

Established in 1901, the once luxurious Hotel Shakespeare has seen better days.  At one time a haven for movies stars and royalty alike, the hotel has long since lost her luster, and is on the verge of shutting her doors for good.  But tonight finds the hotel busting at the seams, as one bellhop is left alone to somehow manage a surprise surge of guests.  Running from room to room, can the bellhop meet all the needs of these peculiar guests, or will the whole building collapse from all the night's craziness?  Call the front desk and book your stay now, because this might be the final curtain call for the Hotel Shakespeare!

Details!  Details!
